Personal Consultation in The Hague

Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning you are welcome for a personal consultation at my home in The Hague 🤍

During this consultation, we'll sit together in a warm and intimate setting to discuss your wishes, look at examples and colors, and explore the possibilities for a memorial piece.

This consultation gives us the time and space to truly connect, so that your memorial jewelry can reflect the essence of your loved one.

This consultation is entirely without obligation, but if you are certain you want to order a memorial piece, you can bring the materials for your memorial piece with you. For each piece, I need approximately half a teaspoon of ash. Any remaining ashes or hair, as well as personal items such as photos or letters, will be handled with the utmost care and returned to you along with the finished memorial piece.

FAQ

Shipping & Delivery

Please note that making your jewelry will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks after I receive the materials from you. Any unused ashes, hair, photos, letters, or stories you've included will always be safely returned to you along with the jewelry.

All packages are shipped with a track & trace code , which you will receive as soon as the package has been shipped.

Because this is a very personal and emotional product, I always ship all orders by registered mail . I work with PostNL for both domestic (Netherlands) and international shipments.

Delivery times may be slightly longer around holidays due to peak demand. Please keep this in mind when placing your order.

Any import duties, customs or sales taxes may be added according to the regulations of the destination country.

Orders within the Netherlands and Belgium are shipped free of charge . For other international orders, the shipping rate is €35 .

Please note that orders shipped outside the EU (such as to the US, UK, Canada or Australia ) may be subject to import duties or local taxes upon arrival.

These charges are determined by local customs and are the responsibility of the recipient .

It's also possible to ship your order as a "gift" under $100 , which usually avoids import duties. Please note that this option is not insured against loss or damage.

Because each country has its own rules and regulations regarding the shipping of ashes or other memorial materials, I kindly ask you to arrange this part yourself.

Please don't worry if this feels a bit overwhelming. If you need help, explanation, or some extra reassurance, I'm happy to walk you through the process step by step.

If you receive your package and discover that the jewelry is damaged, despite our special care during shipping, please email me within 48 hours with all the details so I can help you further.

Because my work is personal and sentimental, I want the piece to feel perfect for you. If it doesn't feel right, please let me know as soon as possible so I can fix it.

Unfortunately, returns cannot be accepted because the jewelry is personal material.

All solid gold jewelry is custom-made and therefore cannot be exchanged or returned. Sales are final for all solid gold and custom-made jewelry.

If your jewelry doesn't fit properly, please let me know as soon as possible after you receive it and we will find a solution together.

Please note that additional costs will apply depending on the type of repair and the jewelry material. I will always discuss these with you beforehand.

I always recommend having your ring size accurately measured by a jeweler; this is the best way to ensure the perfect fit. If you have any doubts about your size after placing your order, please let me know within 24 hours.

Please don't worry about how much time has passed. I understand that this can be an emotional and sometimes difficult process, and everyone goes through it at their own pace. That's precisely why I don't have any "expiration dates" on purchases. You're welcome to take as much time as you need.

Handle the jewelry with care; it is handcrafted from glass and delicate chains. I advise against sleeping, showering, or exercising with it. After wearing, it's best to gently wipe it with a soft cloth and store it in a fabric-lined jewelry box, out of direct sunlight, to preserve the condition of the metal and other materials.

For jewelry containing epoxy, avoid contact with nail polish remover, alcohol, and similar substances. Also, try to avoid prolonged contact with water (salt or fresh), perspiration, heat, and chemicals such as chlorine, sulfur, perfume, cleaning products, and lotions.

If you don't have your loved one's ashes but would still like me to create a piece, I can also incorporate fabric, hair/fur, teeth, or sand into any piece. This allows you to keep your memories close in a beautiful and tangible way.

It is an honor for me to be able to contribute in this way to cherishing the memories of all your beloved pets.

When working with ash or hair in glass, there is a period of time and temperature where all of the air/carbon energy within the bone or hair fragments tries to escape.

This is the last oxygen remaining in your body after cremation. As unique as a fingerprint, it's also called "The Last Breath."

Carbon Energy is essentially what we are all made of.
And this Energy never fades, just like our memories..

The colors may vary slightly depending on the ash, temperature, and energy of the day. Each bead is unique and exhibits variations because they are individually handcrafted. But generally, the colors are as shown in the photo. The final pattern of the "The Last Breath" air bubbles is largely determined by the magic of the crafting process.

All glass memorial beads are kiln-baked, where they cool slowly for several hours to release any tension from the glass. Afterward, they can withstand a few knocks and won't break easily if dropped. However, I urge you to be careful with your necklace, as the silver or gold chains are delicate and fragile, and the jewelry is handmade. I also advise against sleeping with them. If you handle them with care, they will last a lifetime.

I work with 14k Gold-Filled or solid 14 karat gold, depending on the piece of jewelry.

14k Gold Filled is a high-quality material in which a thick layer of 14-carat gold (at least 5% of the total weight) is mechanically bonded to a brass core.

Advantages:

  • Much more durable and thicker than gold plated; does not oxidize and does not wear out quickly.
  • Looks like real gold and retains its color and shine for a long time.
  • More affordable than solid gold.

Disadvantages:

  • Not completely solid gold; over time, with intensive wear, the gold layer may wear off slightly.
  • May be less valuable in the long run than real gold.

14 carat gold contains a high percentage of pure gold (58.5%) and does not wear out.

Advantages:

  • Solid material, therefore very durable and wear-resistant.
  • Retains its value well, even in the long term.
  • Can last generations with proper maintenance.

Disadvantages:

  • Significantly more expensive than Gold Filled.

Certainly, the ashes and hair/fur can be mixed or I can keep them separate in your memorial jewelry.

For each memorial piece, I need about half a teaspoon of ash, or a small lock of hair, about the amount you can hold between your thumb and index finger.

I handle the material you entrust with the utmost care; I work in a clean environment and use labels at every step to properly register your order and ensure it never gets mixed up with someone else's.

Because my jewelry is crafted, the ashes or hair are safely and completely encased in the final piece, preventing anything from falling out or becoming loose. The photos in my webshop clearly show how the ashes are beautifully incorporated into the jewelry.
