FAQ
View allWhat are the delivery times?
Please allow up between 4 to 6 weeks for me to create the piece after receiving the ashes. Any unused ashes and any photo's, letters or stories you've send will be send safely back to you together with the piece. Shipping costs are free wordwide. Packages will be shipped provided with a track&trace code. This code will be sent to you as soon as the package has been posted.
Because this is such an emotional product I always ship the package by registered mail. I use PostNL for both domestic (within The Netherlands) and international shipping.
Please note that the times listed below are just estimates. Customs, PostNL and the postal service of your country may take longer or shorter than expected. Around holidays, these estimates may be longer because shipments are usually backed up. Please keep this in mind when ordering.
For more information check the estimated delivery time for your country in the third column click here.
Please note that this information is an indication provided by PostNL and that we cannot guaranty any delivery time based on this information. Additional import, customs, and sales taxes may be added in accordance with your country's specific requirements.
How about shipping?
Orders within the Netherlands and Belgium are shipped free of charge.
For international orders, a €35 shipping fee applies.
Please note that orders shipped outside the EU (for example to the U.S., U.K., Canada, or Australia) may be subject to local import duties or taxes upon arrival. These fees are determined by the local customs office and are the responsibility of the recipient.
It is also possible to ship your order as a “gift” under $100, which usually avoids import duties. However, this option is not insured against loss or damage.
The shipping of ashes or other materials to me is the responsibility of the customer.
Because each country has its own rules and regulations regarding the shipment of cremated remains, I kindly ask that you arrange this part on your side.
Please don’t worry if this feels a bit overwhelming. If you ever need help, guidance or reassurance, I’m more than happy to walk you through the process step by step.
Do you also use other materials of my lost loved one if I don't have ashes?
If you don't have ashes of your lost loved one but still would like me to make a piece for you, I can also encase fabric, hair/fur or sand in all pieces to keep your memories close.
How much ashes or hair do you need to make a piece for me?
For each piece, I will need about half a teaspoon of ashes, or a small lock of hair. Roughly the amount you could hold between your thumb and index finger.
It took me longer than expected to gather the ashes, will you still make my bead?
Yes, please don’t worry about how much time has passed. I understand deeply that this can be an emotional and difficult process, and everyone moves through it in their own time. That’s exactly why I don’t place any kind of “expiration date” on purchases. You are welcome to take the time you need.
